OnChainMonkey and its leadership team showed up in full force at the Austin event. We gathered to discuss some of the industry’s most trending topics: Ordinals, the lasting impact of FTX, and how AI will impact web3.
CEO Danny Yang Discusses Bitcoin Ordinals on the Consensus Main Stage
Metagood CEO and co-founder Danny Yang spoke on a Consensus panel about Bitcoin Ordinals, exploring the new inscription technology and its potential use cases. He proudly shared how we were the first ones to mint 10,000 profile pictures in one transaction–on both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
In the blockchain world, Bitcoin stands out for its security and widespread adoption, and Danny emphasized that. He also highlighted our recent collaboration with Asprey Studio for the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection, which brought Metagood to the world of luxury good NFTs.
While some critics argued that monkey JPEGs should not be on Bitcoin, Danny appeared on CoinDeskTV’s “All About Bitcoin” to explain that OnChainMonkey are not JPEGs and how we inscribed all 10K NFTs in less than 20 bytes so in a very energy efficient manner. It’s exciting to see how blockchain technology is transforming our world, and Danny’s talk highlighted the power of OCM in doing so.
COO Amanda Terry Represents Metagood in PitchFest Semifinals
Danny wasn’t the only Metagood leader taking Consensus by storm. Our fearless COO Amanda Terry represented Metagood in the Consensus 2023 PitchFest semifinals. She joined other visionary founders from the blockchain world to showcase the uniqueness of the Metagood mission and OCM network.
She highlighted our community’s power and pfp collection’s uniqueness. Pitching alongside 11 leaders out of over 250 entries globally was an honor.
OCM Web3 Pioneer Dinner
We saw monkeys across Consensus, representing OCM with merch ranging from hats to t-shirts. We enjoyed chance encounters in the event halls and across the bustling city of Austin. It’s always a pleasure to connect with our community IRL and experience the power of each other’s company.
We also hosted a community dinner with Jason Fang of Sora Ventures. It was an opportunity for people to experience firsthand our values: !RISE: Respect, Integrity, Sustainability and Enrichment. Hot topics of conversation included the future of Ordinals and, of course, the future of OCM.
It was also a special moment for the Metagood team, where our CEO Danny Yang and COO Amanda Terry met for the first time in person! After two years of working together, they enjoyed an offline conversation.
In conclusion, Consensus 2023 was a valuable event for the OCM community and beyond. On to the next one!
